August 2021 36×85 Fast and Fun Results

Another month has flown by leaving me in the dust. This post is for the results of the 36×85 Fast & Fun League. Three clubs have reported results for this League.

This season we started with some NEW courses. The course layout was designed by one of our players, Mike Hughson. I only modified his concept by removing the dogwalk and teeter and flipping the location of a tunnel to get a square approach to the A-frame. I finessed distances since he sketched his courses while away from his computer. I then moved around the numbers for this course.

If anyone would like to design courses for the league, let me know!!!

The efforts of dogs playing in August earn Lifetime Performance Points (LPP) based on the entire field of dogs who have competed on the course. The LPP is a measure of rank based on how they placed in relation to all the other dogs.

Top Dog

The Top Dog of all the clubs reporting in August is from Dirty Dogs Agility League out of Parker, Colorado. Homie, a Border Collie handled by Lauren Sanchez-Suzmann, took the Top Dog spot. They are one of our newer teams. They ran the course with zero faults in 29.49 seconds. That was quite the run!!!

First-Place Team – LPP 195

The first-place team in August was Dirty Dogs Agility out of Parker, Colorado. The top scoring dog was Homie, a Border Collie handled by Lauren Sanchez-Suzmann. They took the lead in the club and the league this month with zero faults in 29.49 seconds.

Second-Place Team – LPP 95

PAWS4FUN from Ontario, Canada took second place. Mika, an Australian Cattle Dog handled by Janet Parks, got the top spot finishing the course with zero faults in 36.77 seconds. I loved your “Up,up,up,up” cue; it is so upbeat.

Third-Place Team – LPP 16

Clicker Pets in Mexico took third place. They were disadvantaged this month by having a fog absent, but they are putting up a good fight. Their Top Dog was Lupita, a Blue Heeler handled by Lorraine Farrow. This team is new to the club. They completed the course with 5 faults in 60.16 seconds. Don’t worry; a few of my students also had problems remembering the course!

Spotlight Dog of the Month

Our spotlight dog of the month is new to the league. Jack, an All American. Jack is a super cute pup handled by Susan Talley representing Dirty Dogs Agility League out of Parker, Colorado. They completed the course with 0 faults in 44.96 seconds. Great run guys!
