April 2020 NDAL League Courses

Following is a preview of the April 2020 courses and games for NDAL league play. April is the first month of the Spring series.

54X70 Games

The April game for the 54×70 Games league is a game called Looper, designed by Bud Houston.

Briefing

A Looper is a numbered sequence that is run twice, without stopping. On this course the dog will continue to jump #1 from the dogwalk at #11. Time will stop after the second performance of the dogwalk; (when the dog touches the floor on the dismount).

A Looper is scored Time, Plus Faults.

 

50×70 Fast & Fun

The April game for the 50×70 Fast & Fun league is a numbered course designed by Bud Houston.

Briefing

A numbered course is scored Time, Plus Faults.

 

60×90 Masters

The April game for the 60×90 Masters league is The Box Game designed by Bud Houston.

Briefing

The Box Game is a numbered course that includes a bonus opportunity. If during the entire run the handler the handler remains inside of the box or if the handler remains outside of the box, 20 bonus points are earned by the dog.

The Box Game is scored Time, Plus Faults, Less Bonus.

 

36X85 Fast & Fun

The April game for the 36×85 Fast & Fun league is a game called Time Warp designed by Bud Houston.

Briefing

Time Warp is a numbered course that presents bonus opportunities to the dog. A 10-point bonus is earned each time the handler remains behind the red line while the dog performs the weave poles (without fault). The dog might also earn a 10-point bonus each time the handler remains behind the green line while the dog performs the dogwalk (without fault).

40 bonus points are possible.

Time Warp is scored Time, Plus Faults, Less Bonus.
