54×70 Games 2019 August Results

The second month of the NDAL 54×70 Games league, Summer series, featured a game called Snooker, designed by Bud Houston.

Snooker is scored Points, Then Time.

You will note that no course time was set for this game. And so, that’s exactly how the game was played, and scored.

 

Club Report

There are six active teams to competing in the Summer Series. More clubs might play in this league… especially when they discover that the set of equipment in the 54×70 is always exactly as set in the 50×70; the only difference being that the 54×70 will feature some interesting game that demand cunning and guile.

Top Dog

Representing Sport Dogs Jalisco out of Guadalajara, Mexico, the top scoring dog in the August 2019 54×70 Games league Twister, a Border Collie handled by Gabriela Orozco. Twister and Gabriela finished the game scoring 51 points in 22.27 seconds:

First Place Team

Sport Dogs Jalisco out of Guadalajara, Mexico posted a convincing win in the August game. Consequently, Sport Dogs moved up from fourth-place in league play just enough to move into first place. Only 13 points separate the top three teams in this league. September will tell the tale.

The second highest score for Sports Dogs Jalisco was Scarlett, a Border Collie handled by Gabriela Orozco. Scarlett and Gaby finished the game scoring 51 points in 22.73 seconds:

Second Place Team

Agility Dream Dogs, out of Albion, New York finished second in the August game. The team got a little closer to the second place team in the series, but will enter September narrowly out of second-place, but within shooting distance of first place.

The top scoring dog for Agility Dream Dogs was Bebe, an Australian Cattle Dog handled by Michael Hughson. Bebe and Michael finished the game with 51 points in 28.08 seconds:

Third Place Team

Country Dream Agility out of Waterford, Ohio finished in third-place in August and fell from first to second-place in league standings. The top scoring dog for Country Dream was Phoenix, a Border Collie handled by Bud Houston. Phoenix and Bud finished the game with 51 points in 30.54 seconds:
